THREE DAY DISNEY STAYCATION
A few weeks back my cousin Taylor and I had a little 3 Day Disney staycation at the parks while my husband hosted a bachelor party at our house. We were SO excited and were really ready to pretty much be at the parks from open to close all three of the days. One thing that I was actually a little sad about when we first were moving to Orlando was missing those trips to Disney where you open to close everyday and go go go. I was worried that being able to go whenever we wanted was going to make some of the magic go away. BUUUT, that really didn’t happen at all which I am so happy about! In this post I will talk about where we stayed, what rides we did on each day, what foods we ate and any other details that happened during our staycation!
WHERE WE STAYED
Originally we wanted to stay at one of the value resorts like All Star Movies or All-Star Music Resort but those were sold out and we ultimately chose to just get an airbnb because of the amount of time we we would really be in the room each day. The location of our Airbnb was seriously perfect, less than a 10 minute drive to all of the places that we needed to go. We drove to and from the location as well as took Uber’s to get to some of the spots and we didn’t have trouble with it at all. The airbnb had a nice bathroom, a kitchenette, a living room and two queen beds in the bedroom. It was almost like a hotel suite and it was perfect for the three nights that we stayed. It was $80 a night and completely worth it. I should also mention that our host was very responsive, helpful and we would definitely stay here again! I put photos and some extra info to the listing below!
DAY 1 - CITY WORKS
We both worked on this day but we wanted to kick off our Disney weekend with dinner at Disney Springs. We chose to go to City Works! It wasn’t the first time we had gone there but its always good and never really disappoints. Especially with its ever-changing menu and its basically unlimited amount of good drinks. We love the cider flights and they have a lot of good wine as well! City Works is over by the movie theater and Splitsville. I wish I had taken pictures when I have gone in the past but I will add more of them to this blog post when we go in the future! I wrote a whole City Works Gluten Free Review and you can read that here! There are tons of restaurants in Disney Springs, you can read about our favorites here! We love going to Disney Springs because they take such good care of me with my allergy and I know I won’t be getting glutened here!
DAY 2 - Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios Day
Magic Kingdom - You can read my 10 Tips for Magic Kingdom, here!
Rides we rode at Magic Kingdom:
Lunch - Columbia Harbor House, I had the chicken fingers, shocking I know! I haven’t done a full review on this yet but I will at some point because this it pretty much where I eat every time I am at Magic Kingdom.
After lunch we decided to head over to Hollywood Studios and ride some rise so we wouldn’t have such a long day on Sunday . We took the bus over to Hollywood Studios and it only took about 20 minutes total to get on the bus, get to the park and then get into HS. I would recommend getting from park to park like this! We stayed at Hollywood Studios from about 2:30 to close and then took the bus back over to Magic Kingdom to close out the park and ride a couple more rides before it closed!
Rides we rode at Hollywood Studios:
Tower of Terror
Rock N’ Roller Coaster
Rise of the Resistance
Dinner: We ate at Woody’s Lunch Box, I have eaten here a bunch of times and in the last two times I have gotten the magically delicious totchos that they have. I found out that they can be made gluten free and you can taste literally no difference, they are amazing! Its tater tots, Fritos, chili, a gravy of some sort, chives, queso and sour cream. I literally can’t think of a better combination of foods to go together than the way these do!
DAY 3 - EPCOT
Rides we rode at Epcot:
Where we ate:
Lunch: For the first time, we tried eating at the The Sunshine Seasons in the Land Pavilion! I had the salmon with mashed potatoes and OH MY GOSH, I didn’t even know I needed this meal in my life! It was so so so good!
Dinner/Snack: I had the House-made Italian Sausage and Peppers Poutine - Refreshment Port. I have had these like 4 times now and DANG, its good. You would never guess that it is a vegan dish! But it is a must for me at the Flower and Garden Festival!
What we drank:
Mexico: Blood Orange Margarita from La Cava Del Tequila
Norway: Troll Krum from the cart in Norway
China: Honey Hibiscus Hard Iced Tea drink at Joy of Tea
Morocco: Pomegranate Acai from the Spice Road Table Bar
DAY 4- ANIMAL KINGDOM
Animal Kingdom - You can read my 10 Tips for Animal Kingdom, here!
RIDES WE RODE:
Dinosaur {one of my all time favorites}
Expedition Everest {it was finally open again and we rode it probably 6 times!}
Where we ate:
Lunch - We had an early lunch at Restaurantosaurus, we just happened to be in DinoLand and it was close! I had the gluten free chicken nuggets and those really never disappoint! I almost always get these when I am at Animal Kingdom! You can read my full Restaurantosaurus Gluten Free Review here!
Afternoon snack: We both got our own orders of the buffalo chicken chips that are at the little cart right outside of Dinoland called Trilobites! They are potato chips with buffalo chicken on top and then they put sour cream, diced tomatoes and celery on top and it is SO GOOD. I have all of my Animal Kingdom Gluten Free Favorites written in this post here! I hope that you find it helpful if you are planning a trip to Disney World and are feeling overwhelmed by the gluten free menus!
