Salt Shack Clermont Gluten Free Review
The Salt Shack was recently opened after Lily’s on the Lake closed and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the new restaurant being put in! The restaurant has awesome indoor and outdoor seating that overlooks Lake Minneola and is really just a relaxing spot. We have eaten at the restaurant and we have also pulled up to the shore on a boat and they will come out and serve you there which is awesome! I was THRILLED to find out they had some good gluten free options to choose from and every gluten free person’s favorite phrase being “we have a separate fryer for the fries”! Salt Shack in Clermont might night have a dedicated menu but they do have some hidden gems for gluten-free eating. This restaurant is located downtown the heart of Clermont, and is the perfect stop after doing a little shopping or visiting the farmers market!
I didn’t get a picture of the menu just because there wasn’t a separate menu for gluten free items but basically my options were the salads, the tacos with a lettuce wrap and some of the appetizers. I will link the menu here if you wanted to check it out! I am usually not one to be thrilled when my only option is for something to be wrapped in lettuce but the grouper that was on these fish tacos were so yummy and the mango salsa slaw situation just made them even better. I will absolutely be going back to see what else I can try out for you guys there and when I do I will update this blog post. I already mentioned that the fries are gluten free as well and so so good. The seasoning that is on them…delish, the ranch that we dipped them in?! OH MY GOSH GOOD.
Dustin is not gluten free and he loved it here as well. He got the Broiled Jumbo Lump crab cake, drizzled with Key Lime Aioli which was served on a Brioche bun with lettuce and tomato and said it was so good and he loved the French fries just as much as I did! For drinks, I got an orange juice and vodka situation but the drinks are listed online and I cannot for the life of me remember what it was called. It tasted good but there was so much pulp so if you aren’t a fan of that then maybe steer clear of it!
Again, I was so happy to find out that Salt Shack in Clermont offers a delicious and safe dining experience for those of us with gluten sensitivities. The staff and the manager were knowledgeable and happy to help with finding me options to choose from. The Salt Shack in Clermont is really a great addition to the community and I absolutely recommend trying it out. If you live in the area or have visited the downtown Clermont area, what is your favorite restaurant to eat at? We know there are so many we haven’t been to yet and need to add some more to our list!
